Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart got announced at the PS5 reveal stream last week, with nice little stinger. A female lombax was revealed after Clank was separated from Ratchet after jumping through a dimensional rift.
There have been multiple female lombaxes- the species Ratchet is- in previous games. But none has ever looked like this, to the applause of many fans and various communities.
But here’s another good news on top of that, she’s also a playable character.
In a tweet, Insomniac Games confirmed that the female lombax will be playable alongside Ratchet.
Whether this is just for story purpose or will introduce new gameplay mechanics remains to be seen.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be coming to the PS5, though no release date has yet been given.
