Super 56 Is A 56-In-One Mini-Game Collection That Looks Just As Wild As The WarioWare Games

The WarioWare series has created a niche subgenre of games about mini-games, or some may say micro-games, where it’s all about responding to weird, unhinged, games in a matter of seconds.

And it’s about time there’s an indie game that’s following that footsteps. Indie devs Onion Soup Interactive, the same developer that made Nippon Marathon, is making a WarioWare-like mini-game collection called Super 56.

Super 56 will have 56 different mini-games, all played by just pressing a button. From racing to shooting, from feeding a grown person dressed as a baby to snapping a picture of a very iconic moment in modern Japan’s history when the lens is focused, and a typewriting mini-game where since the game is about pressing only the A button it results in you type screams of agony.

There are definitely some weird mini-games in here. The weirdness is amplified by the choice of aesthetic, which is just all over the place (as it should for these games).

And yes, Super 56 will challenge you to keep doing these mini-games as fast as you can as your streaks keep going. Keep it long enough and you might have your name up there in the worldwide leaderboards.

To keep players coming, Super 56 will include Daily Challenges, and there are Mod Stones that alter the rule of play to keep things fresh.

Super 56 will be out later this year on PC.
