Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode Has RPG Elements

Capcom really is going above and beyond with its single-player experience in Street Fighter 6, the World Tour mode. The game mode allows you to create your own avatar fighter, and then hit the streets in search for fights.

In the latest gameplay showcase via Capcom’s Street Fighter Showcase livestream, we get to see even more gameplay elements being revealed in World Tour mode. If the idea of creating your own custom moveset and use that to traverse the world, and then engaging in side jobs that acts as tutorials for doing special moves aren’t enough, this new look revealed that this mode even has RPG elements to it.

Your avatar can level up and earn skill points to then spend on a skill tree. Gear you equip has stats (but you can also opt to equip gear just for fashion). Food and recovery items can be used when you pause during a fight in this mode.

In World Tour mode, you get to be a student to any of the 18 characters at launch as their Master. There will be cutscenes if you raise your bond with them high enough by either completing missions or giving gifts.

Alongside Metro City, you’ll also be able to explore the city of Nayshall, “a developing nation tucked away in a remote corner of Asia”.

You can sample the start of World Tour mode with a demo available on PS4 and PS5 right now.

Street Fighter 6 will be out on June 2 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
