Star Wars Zero Company Releases This August

Star Wars Zero Company, the turn-based strategy tactics game by EA and developer Bit Reactor, now has a release date.

A new gameplay trailer dropped during Summer Game Fest 2026 showcasing an original Star Wars story set during the Clone Wars.

Players take on the role of former Galactic Republic officer Hawks, leader of Zero Company. This is a group of “professionals for hire” which can composed of just about anyone, from Jedis to Clone Troopers. Zero Company’s mission is to hunt down Kundri Fathom of the Infinite Coil, a cult aligned with the Seperatist.

The gameplay trailer shows the flow of Star Wars Zero Company to very reminiscent to XCOM, in which members of the Bit Reactor team had a hand in making. So expect the ability to gear up, upgrade facilities and picking missions from a fancy big screen, well a holotable in this case. The operators, some created by the game, others by players, can come from eight different Star Wars species, namely Devaronian, Human, Neimoidian, Ovissian, Togruta, Twi’lek, Weequay and Zabrak.

How you shape and deploy your Zero Company squad is up to you, with some room for shenanigans. A group of mostly astromech droids can be deployed, like how in XCOM Enemy Unknown you can just deploy S.H.I.V.s instead of human soldiers should you wish.

Star Wars Zero Company releases on August 27 for the PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
