S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl won’t be releasing on September as previously revealed and has been delayed until November.
Yevhen Grygorovych, Game Director at developer GSC Game World says: “We know you might be tired of waiting, and we truly appreciate your patience.
“These two additional months will give us the chance to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (or simply “bugs”, as you call them).
“We are always grateful for your ongoing support and understanding – it means the world to us. We’re just as eager as you are to finally release the game and for you to experience it for yourself.”
The good news is, there is more Stalker 2 news to come really soon. A developer deep dive video will premier on August 12 will show more gameplay, including a full walkthrough of a story quest. Alongside that, expect to see more behind-the-scenes and interviews of the game’s development.
Such delays are understandable given that current situation in Ukraine, the country which GSC Game World is based in, as well as just the nature of video game development in general.
Stalker 2 Heart Of Chernobyl is the long-awaited full sequel to the acclaimed original game. It’s a first person shooter with a tinge of horror (via the odd anomalies you encounter from entering a site affected by radiation) as well as immersive sim elements.
