Developer Hazelight proudly announced they have sold a million copies of its latest game Split Fiction within the first two days, 48 hours, of launch.
“Everyone here at Hazelight are beyond happy – and we can’t stop enjoying your amazing reactions!” the post on Hazelight’s Bluesky reads.
Split Fiction is the latest split-screen co-op game by the team behind Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons, A Way Out and the award-winning It Takes Two. The game features two protagonist, aspiring writers Mio and Zoe who somehow got themselves stuck in a simulation that manifests their book ideas to virtual life.
Like past Hazelight games, Split Fiction is only playable with two players—not more, not less—with the gameplay designed to make use of two players cooperating together in inventive, intuitive and wild ways. But this time around, not only the game can be played online where only one player needed to buy the game, it also supports cross-play across all platforms should both players are not able to play via couch co-op.
Split Fiction is out now on PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App) and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review of the game here.
