Everybody is super sonic racing, even Shadow The Hedgehog. As teased at The Game Awards 2024, Sega revealed Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.
This looks to be a new racing game, following the likes of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed, and Team Sonic Racing.
The teaser just shows Shadow approaching and unlocking his car, which looks a lot like his ride in Team Sonic Racing, Dark Reaper, before taking those set of hot wheels off for a test drive.
Sega has yet to announce who is developing Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, only stating that “an elite crew of racing game developers” are behind this. All of the Sonic Racing games were previously developed by Sumo Digital.
There’s no release date yet, but racing game fans had this and the return of Screamer revealed at The Game Awards. So we do be burning more rubber in the near future.
Sega also teased the next Virtua Fighter and the next game by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio at The Game Awards 2024.
