Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Reveals Three More New Characters Coming Via Free Updates

The character roster for Sega and Team Sonic’s kart racer Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds continues to grow as they announced the next three guests coming via free updates.

The next trio of characters are all within the wider Sega family as it brings another character from the Like A Dragon series, a Puyo Puyo character and most curiously, an Angry Bird.

(Rovio is now under Sega and the publisher has started to regularly sneak in a cameo of the Angry Birds series in latest Sega titles. You can listen to the Angry Birds theme in Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, for example.)

Red from the Angry Birds series (in his modern depiction, with arms, legs and fingers) is set to join Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds this April. This followed by Goro Majima (Captain Majima), referring to the one-eyed madman’s appearance as pirate as seen in Like A Dragon Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii, in the same month. Arle will join in May.

All three will arrive their the signature Machines, parts that can be mix-and-matched with other existing vehicles.
