Shopping Mall eCurve Is Organising Its Own Mobile Legends Tournament

Tournaments and esports events in a shopping mall is normal, but what if it is organised by the mall itself? eCurve Mutiara Damansara is organising its own Mobile Legends tournament.

The qualifiers for the RM10,000 prize pool tournament has commenced on March 17-18th, with the finals to be held this weekend, March 24-25th at eCurve’s Centre Atrium.

“As an entertainment-centric mall, eCurve is excited about organising our inaugural eSports event this year, ” saide Azizul Hisham Ahmad, Centre Manager of eCurve.

“MOBA games are among some of the most popular games among passionate young gamers and we are delighted to provide an opportunity for these skilled individuals to play on a bigger stage. We recognise that these games can also encourage better strategic thinking, team spirit as well as communication in the young, and are certainly happy to encourage these attributes through such a competition.”

Usually, shopping malls only provide the event space for tournaments, so to see the mall itself taking initiative on organising itself is rather interesting to see. If you happen to drop by the eCurve this weekend, expect to see a large setup to view the final teams battle it out to take home the championship prize of RM5,000.
