The state government endorsed Selangor Cyber Games was a huge success last year. Successful enough for the event to return for the second time around. 2017 will see a bit of a shake up- only four games this time and as a result, a smaller total prize pool of RM180,000.
However, the bulk of the total RM330,000 offered last year was part of the Mineski Pro Gaming League (MPGL) South East Asia Championship which was roughly RM200,000. MPGL isn’t returning this time, and with less tournaments offered, the prize pool per game is bigger than last year.
Taking the main event spot is Legends Circuit Malaysia. Selangor Cyber Games will be part of Malaysia’s official pro circuit for League Of Legends.

The other three games are open for all Malaysians to enter. Here is the list of games, including links to registration:
- Dota 2 – RM50,000 total. Winner bags RM20,000
- FIFA Online 3 – RM30,000 total. Winner bags RM10,000
- Tekken 7 – RM20,000 total. Winner bags RM5,000
Selangor Cyber Games 2017 will be held from August 12 to 13 at Paradigm Mall, SS7, Petaling Jaya.
