Would you look at that. The many regional-themed DLC packs for zoo builder and management game Planet Zoo now has a pack for Southeast Asia.
The Planet Zoo Southeast Asia Animal Pack DLC adds eight new animals:
- Clouded Leopard
- Sun Bear
- Proboscis Monkey
- Binturong
- Malayan Tapir
- Ussuri Dhole
- North Sulawesi Babirusa
- Giant Malaysian Leaf Insect
The one you see in the header image is the Proboscis Monkey. This monke native to the Borneo region may have a unique nose, but the more unique feature of it in Planet Zoo is that it’s the first primate that can swim. You’ll see unique animations only to the Proboscis Monkey for this reason.
Alongside the new animals (and one new insect), there is also one new scenario. You will be tasked to save a tropical rainforest zoo set in Perak, Malaysia, currently struggling in finances. You’ll have to place new facilities and beautify its scenery to get it back into shape.
(This scenario hits a bit close to home, considering that Malaysia’s National Zoo is also struggling financially at this time.)
Like always, there’s a new free update that will arrive coinciding the DLC release. Update 1.5 will bring a few new features such as multiple zoo entrances, video billboards, fresh scenario rewards, customisable water colour and volume, and the ability to save franchise zoos as sandboxes.
Planet Zoo Southeast Asia Pack DLC, and the free 1.5 game update, will arrive on March 30.
