Asus Republic Of Gamers (ROG) announced that a special edition of the ROG Zephyrus G14 is now available in Malaysia.
The gaming and lifestyle brand has teamed up with DJ and music producer Alan Walker to produce the ROG Zephyrus G14 Alan Walker Special Edition.
You may have heard of Alan Walker’s music in games like PUBG Mobile and Death Stranding.
This version of the Zephyrus G14 is still the slim gaming laptop for those that game and create content. There’s also a bunch of Alan Walker’s branding slathered around the 14-inch slab. Here’s a summary of the custom visual features only available on the Alan Walker Special Edition:
- unique colour accents (Spectre Blue on AniMe Matrix LED array)
- Alan Walker signature next to ROG logo on nameplate
- Two fabric belts along the laptop lid
- Custom boot animation and wallpaper
- customised pattern on glass touchpad
- stylised A and W keyes on the keyboard
However, this special edition of the Zephyrus G14 has one neat party trick.
The box the laptop comes in is called the ROG Remix sampler and by plugging it to the laptop via a USB Type-C cable, allows users to turn it into a DJ pad, which can trigger 18 different sound effects.
The ROG Remix sampler includes sound effects and one music made by Walker, “Sorry”, that you can remix and mess around DJ-ing with. This also includes changes in graphical effects displayed on the front screen and on the AniMe Matrix display at the back.
It’s no Novation Launchpad replacement (the buttons on the ROG Remix uses conductive pads), but it’s still a cool looking kit that doubles as a box for the Zephyrus G14. You can also import your own tunes and effects to use with the ROG Remix sampler.
