Remedy Entertainment, the creators of Alan Wake and Control, are trying to go outside their norm for the first time, as they announced on the recent Xbox Partner Preview Show, a new three player co-op game that’s set in the Remedy Connected-verse, with the players being the FBC agents.
FBC: Firebreak is their new three-player co-operative first-person shooter that sees playing fighting elements of the Hiss and such after the events of Control as the Bureau’s response unit, Firebreak. Think of it being the likes of Lethal Company and even Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Extraction as they go through the Oldest House in the most absurd way possible by the looks of the trailer.
It’ll be the first time Remedy trying to be a fully online multiplayer game, with post-launch support and such so it would be interesting to see how they evolve this idea over the course of its lifespan.
FBC: Firebreak is scheduled to release in 2025 for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series and PlayStation consoles, with them also launching on both Xbox Game Pass PC and Ultimate, and PS Plus Extra/Deluxe for the first time in any game.
