Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army Now Has A Demo

Atlus has released a belated demo for Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army. Released back in June, the action-RPG that is part of the Shin Megami Tensei series, it now has a demo available on PS5, PC and Switch 2 about five months later.

The demo for Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army lets players experience the game right until the start of Chapter 2. So that’s the prologue and the entirety of Chapter 1. Save progress can be transferred to the full game should demo players consider purchasing later.

The demo is based on the most recent version of the game, version 1.10.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army is a remaster for Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha VS The Soulless Army, the PS2 game released in 2006, months before Persona 3. Set in the Taisho era of Japan (around the 1910-1920s), players take on the role of Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, an apprentice detective and full-time Devil Summoner who must solve a mystery that becomes a bigger conspiracy, all from a chance call by a girl. This is a noir detective game featuring SMT’s cast of demons.

The remaster not only brings the 2006 PS2 game to modern platforms, it also brought full voice-acting, improved visuals and a whole new combat system lifted from its sequel, among gameplay improvements.

If you haven’t played this sleeper of an action-RPG, go and check it out if you could. Nezha will say “terima kasih” for that. It’s a stand-out game that didn’t really rock the world 20 years ago, but definitely a gem, especially with the change in combat system.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army is out now on PS5, PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch 2.
