Sega’s free-to-play MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is getting some new content in the coming two months, as highlighted in the latest NGS Headline broadcast.
For September, a new seasonal event will take place throughout the month. The Autumn seasonal update is formatted similar to the first seasonal event so you can expect the following:
- the world is slightly altered (there will be a lot of brown and falling leaves now)
- the return of the event vendor Xiandy (now in a new getup to highlight the month’s new AC scratch)
- new elemental weapon series (Frostel elemental)
- Rappy in new getup (Moongaze Rappy)
- split into two halves, with September 15 seeing the items from Xiandy’s store gets added
- Enemies with seasonal markings that drop seasonal currency
In addition, there are some minor changes to the events. Expect to see more Alpha Reactors being sold on Xiandy’s store for those needing more N-Meseta by selling those off. All the bosses, plus several of the enemies in the new Drill Defense Urgent Quest, will have seasonal marking so that all Urgent Quests drops seasonal currency. Also, there are “Mischief Symbols” that you can gather for a reward.
During the seasonal event, starting from September 1 to 29, there’s also a collaboration event with Sonic The Hedgehog to promote the release of Sonic Colors Ultimate.
On October, expect to see a new class getting added to PSO2 NGS. The Bouncer class returns from base PSO2 and as you might expect, fights with the Jet Boots and Soaring Blades.
Of course, it’s not a PSO2 Headline broadcast if we don’t see the new gacha banners. There are three AC Scratch Tickets banners that will run in September 2021 which are:
- Moonlight Sanctuary- September 1- Shrine priest and maiden-style battle wear, neon light outfit, sci-fi bunny suits and more
- Silhoutte Of Darkness- September 15 – Sci-fi ninja and samurai clothing, Ninja run and dash animations
- Oracle Renewal Collection III – September 29- Divine Priest and Bright Blossom itmes from base PSO2, now in NGS specs
These small nuggets of content may not be enough for those who have burnt through all of what NGS has to offer right now to come back to (the game really doesn’t have enough things to do for most players), but if you’re still logging in regularly, the autumn events is a nice little diversion of the daily grind.
