PS4 Software Update 5.0 Is Now Available

The latest software update for the PS4, codenamed Nobunaga, is now available for download. A slew of new features, as well as some quality of life updates have now been added to the system. Some of the features have been detailed before.

According to Playstation Asia’s blog post, we now have support for Team Tournaments. Official online tournaments will now be available and you could join up to 60 different teams each with their own owner and captains. Team results, brackets and standings can all be viewed within the PS4.

You can now also follow anyone’s account, not just Verified Accounts. Messages with links will have a preview display.

This comes alongside new family features, new PS4 system languages, 60fps streaming on Twitch for PS4 Pro, and comments from PS VR broadcasts popping up within the headset.

Your PS4 should prompt to download the 374.7MB update. If not, go to the settings menu and check for updates.
