The PS5 reveal event, scheduled for June 4 (June 5 in Malaysia), has been postponed.
PlayStation tweeted a statement that reads the following:
“We decided to postpone the PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4.
“While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard.”
This is in light of current tragic events in the US. Earlier before, PlayStation has made a stance in support of #BlackLivesMatter.
Good on PlayStation for taking a stance on this, and this move should help bring more attention that we should not support racism of any means.
The wait for more PS5 news continues for now.
