PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Hits 2 Million Concurrent Players On Steam

That’s a lot of people playing the same game at the same time. Today PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is not only has surpassed the highest recorded concurrent players on Steam this year- beating Dota 2’s all-time high at 1.4 million- it now has since kept expanding the lead.

As tweeted by PlayerUnknown, the game has now surpassed 2 million concurrent players.

Battle Royale is the hottest new thing in gaming, with games like GTA Online and even Fortnite- a game by Epic, the creator of the Unreal Engine that PUBG is using. The appeal of 100-player battle it out until one player left standing in a huge map that slowly shrinks in size is really strong. And the numbers certainly support that notion.
