Petit Planet Is A New Wholesome Cosy Life Sim By Hoyoverse

Hoyoverse doesn’t have just one new game in development, but two, apparently. The developer and publisher behind some of the biggest gacha hits is expanding into life sims with its new game Petit Planet.

In Petit Planet, you are entrusted in nurturing your own plot of land, a tiny little planet (thus the name of the game). You can plant, fish, beachcomb, mine, cook and craft, or go and visit other planets and cosy up to your fellow Neighbours. How you stylise your character, indoor and outdoor spaces will influence Luca, the planet’s vitality, making brim with a specific vibe of your own making.

Neighbours (which the press release makes multiple remarks that they are all fuzzy) can settle on your own petite planet, and you can form bonds learn about their personality, story and dreams. And if you want to connect with more folks, the Galactic Bazaar is a social hub to meet other players.

In short, Petit Planet is Hoyoverse’s attempt at making an Animal Crossing-like game, with shades of Stardew Valley, Story Of Seasons and more grow-bonds-and-plants life sims. That kind of life sim, and not necessarily something like The Sims 4 or Inzoi.

Petit Planet is currently confirmed for release on PC and mobile (no console release planned yet, interestingly enough). Players can sign up for the closed beta, the “Closed Beta Coziness Test” at the official website here.

Hoyoverse is also currently developing Honkai: Nexus Anima, which is their take on a creature-collecting RPG.
