Honkai: Nexus Anima Announced, New Creature Collection Game By Hoyoverse

Hoyoverse, the makers of popular free-to-play games with gacha elements including Zenless Zone Zero, Honkai: Star Rail, and Genshin Impact has announced their latest title, Honkai: Nexus Anima.

Honkai: Nexus Anima, part of the Honkai series, is a “creature-collecting adventure strategy game” initially teased during the Honkai: Star Rail anniversary concert back in May.

Players will be collecting Anima, the whimsical creatures you see frollicking in the announcement trailer, where you forge bonds, unlock abilities “reflect the unique concepts each embodies” and explore the overworld.

The creature-collection genre, which ranges from the popular Pokemon series to the countless entries and spin-offs of the Shin Megami Tensei series, now has a new contender.

A closed beta test, dubbed the “Nexus Bond Test,” will be conducted on PC and iOS. Players can have a chance to get into the closed beta by pre-registering and submit a questionnaire for a chance to join the closed beta test. As this is a closed beta test, there will be no progress transfer to the full release. There will be a data wipe, as the press release phrases it.

Honkai: Nexus Anima has no release date yet.
