Persona 3 Reload On Switch 2 Now Playable At 60 FPS With New Update

A new update to Persona 3 Reload on Nintendo Switch 2 has dropped, adding Performance Mode. This allows the game to run at 60 FPS.

The catch is that Performance Mode for Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2 is only available when docked, in TV mode.

To enable Performance Mode, go to the config menu, and it should be a toggle at the bottom of the list.

This update will also be rolled out to the trial version of Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2, so even folks who are trying what’s essentially a demo of Atlus’ remake of this 2006 RPG can experience the game in 60 FPS, when docked. No ETA is mentioned on when this update will drop for the free trial version.

Persona 3 Reload brings the classic 2006 RPG first released on PS2 (with a seperate PSP port released later) to modern platforms as a remake. While P3 is the first Persona game to shift its aesthetic style into much-loved and acclaimed the series is now known for, P3 Reload doubles down by leaning into the stylistic graphics and UI as seen in the latest game in the series, Persona 5.

Atlus will also be remaking the following game in the series, Persona 4, as Persona 4 Revival.

In Persona 3 Reload, you play as a high schooler who must juggle everyday student duties and also engage in the co-curricular activity of investigating the mysterious Dark Hour. The game also has an expansion, an epilogue for those who completed the main game.

Persona 3 Reload is also currently on sale until early January 2026 on PlayStation and PC.

Persona 3 Reload is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
