One of the stumbling blocks during the launch of IO Interactive’s fantastic Hitman 3 is the promised level imports for those that owned Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2.
Due to Hitman 3 launching as an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC, there was some complications where the short-term solution was to sell the DLCs that gives access to the past games’ levels on a heavy discount.
Good news is, the developers have now worked on a solution to import those levels for PC players that owned the previous games. You can go here, log in to your IOI account and follow the instructions to claim your free Access Pass DLCs.
The way it works is that IO will check what content you own on Hitman 2 and will give out access to three different Access Pass DLCs, Hitman 1, Hitman 2 Standard and Hitman 2 Expansion. If you only own Hitman 1, you will need to import the Hitman 1 locations into Hitman 2 (there’s a free download of Hitman 2 without all the levels on Steam).
Expect to see post-launch content to make use of the past Hitman levels. This month will see the release of Hitman 3’s first Elusive Target– a limited-time, one-shot mission- taking place in Sapienza. You’ll need the Hitman 1 Access Pass DLC for this.
