Overcrowd: A Commute ‘Em Up Leaves Steam Early Access

Overcrowd: A Commute ‘Em Up is the subway station builder/management/tycoon game that was in Steam Early Access for a while. Two years have past and SquarePlay Games (a two-person indie developer) has announced that it’s out of Steam Early Access.

With update 1.0, Overcrowd now has new trains, achievements, new staff uniforms and even a heatmap tool. And also pigeons.

Overcrowd has you run a subway station and ensure the commuters going there are all happy. From making sure there’s enough power to managing the economy of prices, there’s a lot of things that strategy fans would love. Also, it’s wrapped in cute pixel art.

Between this and Stationflow, there’s a good choice of subway builder sims out there. And what a weird time to have them, considering the world right now where crowded spaces like these should be avoided for the time being.

On that note, Overcrowd also has you manage things like the norovirus, which is the scientific name for the virus that causes diarrhoea and vomiting.

Overcrowd is out now on PC via Steam for RM39, with an early bird 30% discount dropping it to RM27.30.
