Nvidia GeForce RTX GPUs Coming To Illegear Gaming Laptops

Malaysia-based custom PC and laptop maker Illegear has announced that their line of gaming laptops will soon come equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX GPUs.

The news comes after the graphic card manufacturer has unveiled that its next-generation GeForce RTX graphic cards will come to laptops this year.

For now, the RTX GPUs will be available for two of the existing Illegear gaming laptops, Onyx and Selenite.

The thin gaming laptop with 15.6″ screen Onyx will have the option for either the Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 or Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 (Max-Q).

The bigger (17.3″ screen) but also slim Selenite will come with the option for an Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 or Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6.

In addition, there will be a new software bundled with all RTX-powered Illegear products, the Illegear Command Center. Essentially it is the dashboard app to monitor the system’s performance and temperature as well as housing some customisation options like RGB lighting. Just like many other OEMs are doing.

Pricing and availability of the RTX-powered Onyx and Selenite will be announced later this month. So for those thinking of buying a new laptop early this year, if it’s not urgent, maybe wait for a bit.
