For two months in a row, Gran Turismo 7 has not been updated with the usual monthly content update. The big Update 1.49 in July 2024, with six new cars (double the usual monthly additions) plus a whole new track, really left players in a draught after that bountiful flood of content.
And it looks like the next game update for Gran Turismo is set for release this week, which means it will not have an update in September. The usual silhouette tease by series producer Kazunori Yamauchi indicates three new cars will be added, so it’s back to the usual cadence of monthly new car additions.
The update drop on October 3, as the game has issued a server maintenance notice which usually coincides with the deployment of a new update. Expect to learn more of the three cars, which fans have made good guesses what they are, later this week.
Developer Polyphony Digital are busy with getting the Gran Turismo 7 be a PS5 Pro Enhanced title, as well as the My First Gran Turismo free demo, arriving later this year.
