No Octopath Traveller DLCs Planned, It’s Already A “Finished Product”

Square Enix has been experimenting with DLC on its Japanese titles, like Final Fantasy XV. But the way it is handled have drew some ire due to the main game not delivering enough and players need to pay more to feel satisfied with the product. Kingdom Hearts III, another game long in development, may also getting DLC too, which does not bodes well.

However, Square Enix’s big Switch title Octopath Traveller will not going such path. In an interview with Dengeki Online (translated by JapaneseNintendo), producer Masashi Takahashi said that “The product version [of Octopath Traveller] is the finished product.”

Octopath Traveller will feature eight playable characters each with their own special skill which dramatically changes gameplay and features eight distinct stories to unravel. A new demo for the game has just launched on the Nintendo eShop after the end of Nintendo’s E3 Direct. The game will be out on July 13th.
