Bad news for NieR fans wanting the new game for PC.
According to an article by DSOGaming, NieR Automata’s producer, Yosuke Saito, claimed that the Steam version of the game may be slightly delayed during a stream recently. Both Square Enix and Platinum Games are working to do something about piracy in the PC Platform, probably a response to Resident Evil 7 being easily cracked within a week of release.
But Yosuke Saito stated that it won’t take long to release NieR Automata on Steam, but the game won’t be released alongside the PS4 version,which will release in two days time for the Japanese version (at the time of writing) and maybe even during the Western release of the game a few weeks later.
Other than that, The Producer also said that some ‘recent games‘ were broken on the PC during their launch period (their last release, TMNT 2, was quite broken during launch) and it’s something Platinum Games wants to avoid.
