Square Enix released a new trailer for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, the new game from Eidos Montreal that isn’t making Deus Ex for the time being.
The three-minute trailer is an in-game cinematic that follows up the previous gameplay reveal. That showcase ended with the Guardians bickering on who should be in the cage to meet Lady Hellbender, who’s in the market of buying exotic lifeforms.
This trailer shows how Lady Hellbender does her business. She’s serious, badass, and might have a thing for Drax? The only interaction that reminds you it’s a video game in this trailer is Drax asking our protagonist Peter Quill (Star-Lord) for advice during their slightly romantic banter. You can either have Peter take charge, or let Drax flirt back. The latter is what we see here.
Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy has you control Star-Lord as the leaders of the Guardians Of The Galaxy, which in this version of the familiar Marvel series, have no reputation whatsoever. Together with his crew consisting of Gamora, Groot, Rocket Racoon and Drax, you’ll go from some motley crew of misfits into a team of super-hero befit of their name.
Also, if you’re a fan of ’80s music, expect a lot of licensed songs as well.
Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy comes out on October 26 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. For Asia, the PC version comes one day later, on October 27.
