New Intel Arc Graphics Driver Brings Performance Improvements For Starfield, Forza Motorsport And More

A new graphics driver for Intel Arc GPU users is now available to download.

Driver version 31.0.101.4887 WHQL, released on October 10, adds support for three upcoming games: the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III (2023) Multiplayer Beta, Total War Pharaoh and Lords Of The Fallen.

The driver also further improve further performance of supported games like Starfield, the new Forza Motorsport and F1 23.

Intel claims these high of performance improvements over previous drivers.

Game performance improvements versus Intel® 31.0.101.4885 software driver for:

  • Starfield (DX12)
    • Up to 117% uplift at 1080p with Ultra settings
    • Up to 149% uplift at 1440p with High settings
  • Forza Motorsport (DX12)
    • Up to 8% uplift at 1080p with Ultra settings


Game performance improvements versus Intel® 31.0.101.4826 software driver for

  • F1 23 (DX12)
    • Up to 12% uplift at 1440p with Ultra High settings
      • Up to 136% uplift at 2160p with Ultra High settings

On the topic of Starfield, the new driver also fixed an issue where texture corruptions might happen. On top of the recent game update which addressed issues with Intel Arc GPUs, the game should play a bit nicer with the blue team’s brand of graphics card.
