New Games On PS Plus Game Catalog (PS Plus Extra, Premium/Deluxe) – May 2023

PlayStation seems to have a strategy now with its rollout of new games in the PS Plus Game Catalog, accessible to PS Plus Extra subscribers and above tiers.

And that’s by having a headlining game carrying the PS banner, either it being a PlayStation Studios first-party effort or in the case of last year, an indie game heavily associated with PlayStation. And have at least one game releasing day-1 on there.

It’s not Game Pass level where first-party games launch day-1 on the service, but with Game Pass offerings feeling relatively slimmer by the month, PlayStation’s version of that seems to be more attractive these days.

Anyway, the mainline game for May 2023 is none other than Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Not everyone might have picked up the PS5 launch game, given that there were not many PS5 in stock back in late 2020, but now you can experience Insomniac’s latest game in this platforming adventure series.

Humanity is the day-1 launch game for this month.

Ubisoft expands its catalog with another open world game, the rather excellent Watch Dogs: Legion

And Bethesda, despite being under Xbox, continues to offer more games to PS Plus. It may not be Redfall, but it’s the better games from Arkane and that is Dishonored 2 and its expandalone Dishonored Death Of The Outsider. And that’s not all, there’s a few more Bethesda games joining the catalog this month too.

Here’s the full list of games (bold are PS5-only titles):

  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Humanity
  • Watch Dogs: Legion
  • Dishonored 2
  • Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
  • Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin
