Developers NetherRealm Studios introduced Injustice 2 with a broody and dark CGI trailer, but rest assured the game itself won’t be DC heroes and villains fighting in the dark.
The new gameplay trailer was just revealed at the ESL Mortal Kombat X League Season 3 finals. Several new DC characters now appear as playable fighters.
Aside from that, the over-the top action from environmental attacks and the Supers from the previous Injustice is still as over-the-top as ever. Of course, the various different gear and how it will look on the heroes, the main selling point of this sequel, were briefly shown as well.
From the looks of it, gameplay seems to be as what you would expect from NeatherRealm. Though the gear system is still a point of contention for serious, competitive play until we get to see how it is implemented.
Expect to see Injustice 2 appearing sometime next year on the PS4 and Xbox One.
