The first big content update for Need For Speed Payback is coming. In case you missed it, EA has quietly put back a season pass for Payback. NFS 2015 did not have any, and most recent games from the publisher has abandoned that model. The first DLC coming with this is Speedcross.
Speedcross adds two new vehicles, the Mini John Cooper Works Countryman and the Infiniti Q60 S into the mix and a whole new car class called Speedcross.

Essentially, it’s an unlicscensed Rallycross, a racing discipline that mixes off-road rallying and tarmac racing in small, tight tracks. 16 new events and a new boss, Barracuda is ready for you should you own the season pass. It will also be available separately as DLC. The Nissan 350Z, Ford Focus RS and Dodge Charger will also be available as Speedcross vehicles.
If that bums you out, don’t worry. There are a few more cars available for free. Cars that were announced in the car list but seemingly missing from all car dealers are now available as abandoned cars. Find one, make a getaway and it’s yours to keep. All of them will be available for to buy at car dealers once you get them all.
The cars are:
- Mazda RX-7 Spirit R
- Volvo 242DL
- Volvo Amazon P130
- Plymouth Barracuda
- Nissan Skyline 2000 GTR
- BMW M3 Evolution II E30
For BMW fans, various visual customisation parts from M Power brand are added for the BMW M4 GTS, M5, X6M and M2.
Steering wheel support for the Logitech G29 and G920 will also be added. One new event will be added into the multiplayer speedlists- Drift Run, based on Drift Trial events in the story mode.
All this new content will be coming on December 19.
