The next game from indie studio SFB Games, the team behind the survival horror title Crow Country and inventive cosy co-op game Snipperclips: Cut It Out, is out now. The Mermaid Mask, the next entry to the Detective Grimoire series, sees the return of Detective Grimoire and Sally, the protagonists from SFB Games’ Tangle Tower, as they embark on a new murder case to solve.
The Mermaid Mask sees the duo investigate the death of Captain Magnus Mortuga onboard of his own vessel. The body was found in a locked room, just one fatal wound but with no weapon in sight. How did it happen, and who dunnit? That’s your cue to investigate the mysterious submarine presented in stylised 2D visuals (with 3D modelled clue items).
SFB Games have found success in their more recent titles, but throughout that time, for five years, the follow up to Tangle Tower was in development.
The Mermaid Mask is out now on PS5, PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
