Monster Hunter: World And Street Fighter V Crossover Content Coming To Both Games

Dress Ken in Rathalos armour, or have Ryu wield a giant sword?

If you’re a fan of Monster Hunter: World and Street Fighter V, you’re in for a treat. Both Capcom games that were released this month (Street Fighter V Arcade Edition counts as both a new release and a free update to the base game) are getting some crossover content.

For Street Fighter V, three characters will be getting Monster Hunter themed costumes, but you will have to get it in the new Extra Battle Mode. This new mode is a limited time event where you need to spend some Fight Money (in-game cash) to participate. Winning one of the match earns you a piece of the costume set.

The Rathalos armour for Ken, the Zingore armour for R. Mika and the Kirin armour for Ibuki are up for grabs. The first Extra Battle challenge will start on February 27th. You can see some shots of them below.

As for Monster Hunter: World, all players can get access to a gear set that, once wore in full, will transform your hunter, regardless of gender, into Ryu or Sakura. The full skin also changes the voice lines.

Once live, it will be a time-limited to PS4 players who have a save file of Street Fighter V, as detailed in the Capcom-Unity blog. A new quest, “Down the Dark, Muddy Path” will be available. Once finished, you will earn an “SFV Ticket” that can be used to craft the armour set, which also requires other materials. Shoryukena Hadouken and Shoryuken gestures will also be available. This content will be made available for PS4 players without the SFV save, PC and also Xbox One players later on.
