Middle-earth: Shadow Of War Gets A Slight Delay- Now Releasing In October

Looks like Monolith’s next game needs to stick in the shadow (of war) for a bit more. Today the developers announced that the open-world game is pushed back from its original August release to October 10.

Shadow Of War is expanding on a lot of features that made the first game- Shadow Of Mordor- a surprise success. The much praised Nemesis System is expanded in bigger ways, a new loot system as well as various RPG elements being added and a bigger and more varied open world.

” In order to do this, we have made the difficult decision to move our launch date to ensure that Middle-earth: Shadow of War will deliver on that promise,” as mentioned in the announcement here.

It was also noted that some territories such as Australia, New Zealand and Japan will also have a different release date. No word whether Southeast Asia will be affected as well, but it seems likely.

More details of the game will be shown at E3 later this month, so it won’t be long until we hear more news about it.
