Medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance Is A Hit, Selling 500,000 Copies In Two Days

A good start for the developer's first title

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a title you might be seeing popping up on Steam often if you browsing through the Lunar New Year sales right now. The Medieval first-person RPG developed by Czech Republic-based Warhorse Studios first started as a Kickstarter project, promising a realistic and historical world rather than the many fantasy medieval RPGs seen in most games.

It is reported by CzechTV (via Czech newspaper outlet Hospodarske Noviny) that the game has sold over 500,000 copies, which explains how the game is now being featured in the top selling tab on Steam currently. The game is also available on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance takes place in the kingdom of Bohemia in 1403, which was under the rule of the Holy Roman Empire, where you play as a son of a blacksmith that found his way into a war. The game is an open world RPG with dialogue choices, harsh combat and a bit of roughness as expected from a game of this scale. This is the first title from Warhorse Studios, a studio made up of former developers from 2K Czech (Mafia, Mafia II) and Bohemia Interactive (ARMA).
