A new story trailer has dropped for Insomniac Games’ upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The sequel to the 2018 open-world action game will see 2 Spider-Men protect New York City from new threats including Kraven (which we saw in the gameplay reveal) and Venom (which was mentioned during a separate release date reveal at Summer Game Fest).
The story trailer sets the stage about the people behind the masks, and how they go about after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Peter Parker’s best friend Harry Osborne is back in town, Peter lands a new job, and Miles is already planning what to do after high school. Though MJ is still snooping about as a journo. And now a Symbiote appears.
This is the first time we see various characters behind the mask, and each of them has aged a bit since the events of previous games.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 drops on October 20 only on PS5.
