Marathon Limited Edition DualSense Controller Available For Pre-Order In Southeast Asia

With the reveal of the new Marathon’s new release date, PlayStation announced a special, limited edition PS5 DualSense controller.

The Marathon Limited Edition DualSense Controller is another one of those game tie-in controller designs. But this one incorporates the cyber-industrialist aesthetic of the upcoming extraction shooter.

The controller is white-on-white, white base colour as well as white accent colour plastic. All of the buttons and triggers are white, the PS button included. The analog sticks are the only contrasting piece, coloured in regular default grey-ish black.

The design element here is the tiny and many prints layered on the front facade of the controller. The left grip has that striking neon/fluorescent green with some diagonal black lines, but not fully covering the plastic shell. All the buttons get extra markings. And the curiously, the Marathon logo just sits on center of the touchpad, menacingly, with that small square of neon green surrounding the white piece.

On the back, just above the legal prints is the Marathon logo, printed in… neon green. That’s neon green on white, no black outlines for contrast. Yeah.

It’s a bit of an intentful mess, so this is one controller that won’t exactly have universal appeal, but that mirrors the new Marathon’s aesthetic choice. If the design of this is a bit too… challenging, consider the recently announced Hyperpop coloured DualSense controllers with their bright RGB hues.

The Marathon Limited Edition DualSense controller will be available in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. In Malaysia, it’s priced at RM419—a standard price bump for controllers with premium colour compared to the usual controller asking price of RM369. Pre-orders are available at participating retailers (here’s a list for Malaysia).

No mention of the revealed Collector’s Edition coming to the region, as no MSRP was revealed.

Marathon will launch on March 6 in Asia, just one day later than the advertised March 5 release date. It will be available on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S with cross-save/cross-progression (carry the same save and continue your progression across all platform) and cross-play (play with/against other players on all platforms).
