Manor Lords Currently The Second Most Wishlisted Game On Steam

Hooded Horse, the publisher for the upcoming city-builder Manor Lords, announced the game has now accrued more than 2 million wishlists, making them currently the second most wishlisted game on Steam.

Manor Lords presents itself as a city-builder, set in the 14th century where you grow a village into a feudal city. But there’s also production chains, real-time strategy elements with its combat, and you can roam around the city as a Lord or Lady.

The game had a limited-time game demo previously, and as the Early Access release gets closer, it’s hype (based on the wishlist numbers that is) has certainly grown to a degree unexpected by developer Slavic Magic.

“When we first launched the announcement trailer in 2020, my girlfriend said she expected me to get 7,000 wishlists,” said Greg Styczeń, the “(mostly) solo” developer behind the Slavic Magic name.

“I was more optimistic and said it would be more like 14,000 and that would be awesome. Suffice to say, I did not expect the game to pick up so much interest and hit over 2 million.”

For the curious, currently Hades II, the sequel to Supergiant Games’ godlike rougelite, is the most wishlisted according to SteamDB. Fellow city-builder Frostpunk 2, which just got a new gameplay trailer, is ranked sixth.

Manor Lords will be releasing in Early Access on PC (Steam, GOG, Microsoft Store) on April 26. The game will also launch on PC Game Pass via the Game Preview Program.
