It’s 2020 and flying cars are not real. But there are drones, and there are people who race drones.
Liftoff: Drone Racing is exactly that, a game about racing quadcopters.
Not just any drone, these are all based on real-life, licensed frames and parts which you can customise. It’s already out on PC as Liftoff: FPV Drone Racing.
But now it’s coming to PS4 and Xbox One. It’s a sim, to the point that you race in first-person-view (FPV) (or for you racing game players: bumper cam) just like real-life drone pilots do. But Liftoff: Drone Racing will also have “assisted flight” for newcomers.
For those attending PAX East from February 27th to March 1st, Liftoff: Drone Racing is playable in alpha form at the show floor, you can find them at the astragon booth.
Liftoff: Drone Racing will be out sometime in 2020.
