EA and Respawn’s surprise battle royale hit Apex Legends is getting an official esports series, and it now has a sponsor. The Apex Legends Global Series will be using Lenovo Legion PC and monitor for its LAN events, the Apex Legends Global Series Majors and the Apex Legends Global Series Championship finale.
The PC, in particular, is the Lenovo Legion T730 desktop, with a 9th-gen Intel Core i7-9700K CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics card. It also has RGB lights on the front because why not. The monitor is the Lenovo Legion Y25 with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Expect to see Lenovo Legion laptops powering the casters and analyst desk too for the live events as part of this partnership.
The Apex Legends Global Series features both online qualifiers and LAN events with more than $3 million USD up for grabs. Players over 50 countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, The Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam can compete. You can read more about it, and even how to enter the online events, here.
