Lego Releasing Two New Buildable Plastic Flowers Sets This May

The Lego Group has announced two new sets joining the Botanical Collection this year. This is the line of buildable plastic flowers, using Lego pieces to recreate beautiful flora aimed at adults.

For 2022, The Lego Orchid (10311) and Lego Succulents (10309) have been revealed.

The Lego Orchid set features six large flowers, plus two newly blossomed flowers. and a flower pot base. Like other artificial flowers, you can arrange the Lego Orchid flowers to your liking.

“The design of this set was inspired by a real Orchid we had in the office throughout the
design process, so we could see how the flower changed through the seasons,” said
Michael Psiaki, Lead Designer at the Lego Group.

”A challenge with this set was creating a cylindrical pot from Lego elements that would be fun to build but also beautiful to look at.”

The Lego Succenlents set contains multiple plants and cacti that can be built and connected together in various ways. There are three separate building instructions so that you can build the set together with friends and family.

“They say having succulents in a room helps you focus, and we hope this set gives the same feeling,” says Anderson Ward Grubb, Senior Designer at The Lego Group.

“We wanted to create a set that offers a relaxing and mindful building experience to help adults switch off from their busy lives and to most importantly re-focus on something they enjoy.”

The Lego Orchid and Lego Succulents set will go on sale on May 1 in Malaysia, available at Lego Certified stores, the Lego Official Store on Lazada and Shopee, Legoland and major retailers and department stores in Malaysia, priced at RM219. Just in time for Mother’s Day.
