The Lego Group has launch a new batch of Lego sets themed around multiple gaming IPs, now available in Malaysia.
The Lego gaming range of buildable sets and figures for play and/or display now covers franchises including Super Mario, Sonic The Hedgehog, Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and Fortnite.
The new Lego gaming sets also includes higher-end sets designed for adults featuring more intricate builds, as signified by the black box designs.
Four new Lego Minecraft sets are now available.
The Lego Minecraft Ender Dragon and End Ship (21264), is a big boat build with plenty of purple (Lego) blocks.
Lego Minecraft The Creeper (21276) features a large size build of the popular Minecraft mob which works best as a display model (and it doesn’t blow up, aww yeah).
The Lego Minecraft The Enderman Tower (21279) is a fortress-style playset where kids and the imaginatives can play around and create their own stories with the big set-piece build.
And for the adults, the Lego Minecraft The Crafting Table (21265) is a diorama build that neatly hides inside a large block designed to look like the Crafting Table from the popular survival game.
Fortnite has some good sets in its latest Lego set drop. The Lego Fortnite Battle Bus (77073) provides a good supply of minifigs and a fun bus build.
The Lego Fortnite Klombo (77077) and Lego Fortnite Supply Llama (77071) are bigger animal builds with some posability. The latter includes a storage space to stuff the llama with loot.
The black box range of Lego Fortnite sets are wild, and aims at the super robot fans out there. Lego Fortnite Peely Bone (77072) is one big statue of a build, while the Lego Fortnite Mecha Team Leader (77078) has you assemble the Fortnite equivalent of a Voltron (which had appeared as a Lego set, but not appeared in the biggest game with the biggest crossovers).
The Lego Super Mario line is still kicking, providing more use to that odd-looking Mario figure packed with tech. The line has now ventured in Mario Kart territory with various car and kart builds.
The Lego Super Mario Mario Kart- Standard Kart (72032) lets you build Mario’s default kart (though the Mario figure is sold separately).
The Lego Super Mario Kart – Baby Mario VS. Baby Luigi (72034) has two small builds for the Mario bros. babies.
The Lego Super Mario Mario Kart – Baby Peach & Grand Prix (72036) is a big set that has everything you need to replicate the start of a Mario Kart race, including a floating Lakitu that holds the iconic starting lights.
And if you just like inverted Mario, Lego Super Mario Kart – Wario and King Boo (72038) has two kart racers including the loveable anti-Mario, Wario. Wario’s kart has a passenger space that evokes the underrated Gamecube entry to the series, Mario Kart Double Dash!!
And for the adults and collectors, the Lego Super Mario Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi (71438) is a recreation of that iconic sprite from the SNES game, as a huge display statue.
