The Lego Group announced today that it is continuing its collaboration with Nintendo for another year of Lego Super Mario playsets.
For 2022, there will be another interactive figure joining Lego Mario and Lego Luigi. Say hello to Lego Peach.
Princess Peach has been transformed to fit the form factor of the playable figures- which includes sensors, display and audio speakers. Unlike the Mario Bros., Peach doesn’t look as cursed in this form.
Lego Peach includes her recognisable voice and sound effects and will be included in her own Starter Course.
Thanks to the many electronics in those big playable figures, you can “play” the courses of the Lego Super Mario sets like it’s a Super Mario level. Collect coins by jumping, make use of the many platforming mechanics and jump on enemies and reach the flag before time runs out. Co-op play adds more coins during the run, with bonus points for synchronised actions.
Lego Peach can be used for two-player co-op, where two players with two interactive figures (any combination of Lego Mario, Lego Luigi and Lego Peach, or two of the same figures) can connect via Bluetooth to a mobile device and “play” the courses you can custom create.
Alongside the new starter course, there are also a bunch more expansion sets. The biggest of them all is the Lego Super Mario Peach’s Castle Expansion Set, featuring the castle as seen in Super Mario 64.
The Cat Peach Suit and Frozen Tower Expansion Set has a smaller castle, but includes the cat costume for Peach, as seen from Super Mario 3D World.

The 2022 Lego Super Mario sets will be available in Malaysia starting August 1, available at all Lego certified stores, the Lego official stores on Lazada and Shopee, Legoland, and all major retailers and department stores in the country.
