Codemasters have updated F1 2019 with small, but still interesting features. One of it is for PC, specifically for AMD GPUs. A feature from the AMD FideltyFX toolkit, Contrast-Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) is now available.
Essentially, it’s a new method of anti-aliasing, which means a new approach AMD concocted in making images smoother and less pixel-y. If you have an AMD card, update 1.07 have added that.
More importantly for the best fans out there, are revised car models. F1 cars usually have changes to it as the season progresses, either by aero updates or a change of sponsors. Codemasters have taken both into account and has revised some models.
The most prominent change is the addition of Ferrari’s 90 Years logo on the cars. McLaren also has some obvious change- the baby shark fin on the engine cover is now gone, reflecting of the current car.
Other changes are a bit tough to discern for the uninitiated like tweaks to the bargeboards- those aero bits on the sides, but should reflect the current look of their real-life counterparts, outside of non-permitted sponsor logos.
The revised car models are added on update 1.08, and is also out now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
