All hail the reigning IP necromancer. After some leaks, THQ Nordic has now confirmed that Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning is getting a remaster.
And it’s not a THQ Nordic remaster if it doesn’t have a silly rename. This will be called Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a remaster of the Xbox 360/PS3/PC action RPG created by 38 Studios and developed by Big Huge Games.
Its claim to fame is its lineup of big names working on the lore (R.A. Salvatore), art design (Todd McFarlane) and game design (Ken Rolston). But its legacy is still one of the better-playing action RPGs, bordering on character action in how good it is, with a nifty hybrid class system.
Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning promises “stunning visuals and refined gameplay” with all DLCs included. Will this be a simple port rather than a remaster like Mafia II was? Or a big revamp like the Saints Row The Third remaster, and IP owned by sister company Deep Silver?
And what about the crossover DLCs? The Kingdoms Of Amalur IP used to be owned by EA until THQ Nordic bought it, and due to that, the game has some an N7 armour based on Mass Effect. Will that still remains?
