The next new set for Wizards Of The Coast’s long-running Magic: The Gathering trading card game will be Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. This will see a return to the planes of Kamigawa, the first since the original was released in 2004.
The feudal Japan-inspired setting is now set 1,200 years since the events of the original set, and as you can see, it now has some futuristic, cyberpunk vibes melded in.
Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty introduces a new mechanic: Reconfigure, which “imbues creatures with the ability to equip themselves to other creatures and confer new bonuses”. Double-faced cards are also returning.
Other returning mechanics include Channel (discard a card with the ability to get a temporary effect) and Ninjutsu.
The five legendary Spirit Dragons, and new Samurai and Ninja creatures are also featured in the new set.

Land cards in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty are drawn in the style of “Ukiyo-e”. Each land type gets two different art- so ten in total to collect.
Also, there are special collaboration works featuring artists Hara Tetsuo (Fist of the North Star), Yoji Shinkawa (Metal Gear Solid), and more.

You can have a look at all the cards from the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty set here. The tabletop version (physical cards) will release on February 18, with the video game version, via MTG Arena, will be out on February 10.
