Do you have what it takes to lead your civilization to stand the test of time? And you happen to have a Switch? Good news. The recent Nintendo Direct has confirmed that Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Civilization has appeared on consoles before. But this the first of the mainline entry of the 4X turn-based strategy game to appear on a console. Now on a Switch, you can take your city-building and warmongering turns everywhere anywhere.
In Civ VI, you take control of a civilization from the Stone Age. You then lead them as best you can to victory either by destroying other civs or achieve other victory conditions such as go to space or have the most dominant culture or religion. Civ VI adds more strategy by having you consider tiles to place important city districts and bonus to tech tree progression by playing the game in certain ways.
Civ VI for Switch will be have all the current updates seen on the base game on PC. As for DLC, these four are included:
- Vikings Scenario Pack
- Poland Civilization & Scenario Pack
- Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack
- Persia and Macedon Civilization & Scenario Pack
That means four DLC civs, Poland (Jadwiga ), Australia (John Curtin), Persia (Cyrus), and Macedon (Alexander The Great) will be added from the get go plus additional scenarios.
Civ VI for Switch will be out on November 16th.
