iRacing To Publish Next Game From Circuit Superstar Devs

iRacing announced a partnership with Circuit Superstar developers Original Fire Games for a new game, under the working title “iRacing Arcade”.

The game is expected to release in 2025 for PC and consoles.

iRacing Arcade, as the working title implies, will feature a more arcade experience, in contrast to iRacing, the racing sim. iRacing Arcade will include a Career Mode. iRacing will be supporting development and design of this new game with Original Fire Games by way of “sharing experience and technology”.

At the time of writing, there is no image or video assets shared on this new game currently in development.

Circuit Superstars was the debut game for Original Fire Games, a top-down racing game published under Square Enix Collective, the Japanese publisher’s indie label.

What set Circuit Superstars apart from any other arcade racer is its devotion to motorsports. Its fictional cars are rendered to recreate the various eras of motor racing, the driving physics is sim-cade rather than pure arcade and there’s even tyre wear and fuel management in these races which brings in pit stop strategies. This should explain iRacing’s interest in working with Original Fire Games for their next game.

Circuit Superstars is not purchased by iRacing under this partnership.

iRacing is growing its portfolio of games to cover different flavours of racing games outside of its subscription-based live service racing sim of the same name.

It is currently publishing the World Of Outlaws: Dirt Racing series based on the American dirt track racing series. It will be publishing a new NASCAR game in 2025 as well as ExoCross, a futuristic off-road racing game not based on any real racing series set to release later this month.
