Intel, a CPU giant but a relatively new player in the graphics card market, has announced its next generation of Intel Arc graphics cards.
The Intel Arc B-Series GPUs (codenamed Battlemage) are positioned as value-for-money offerings. The new graphics cards run on the new Xe2 architecture which boasts improved ray tracing capabilities and mesh shading performance.
These new cards also can make use of XeSS 2, Intel’s own upscaling tech similar to Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR. XeSS 2 now includes XeSS Frame Generation which can add interpolated frames and Xe Low Latency which reduces input latency due to graphics rendering. This is on top of the XeSS Super Resolution, the tech that upscales frames to a higher resolution than the target render.
The Intel Arc B580 and B570 graphics cards comes with 12GB of dedicated GPU memory (VRAM), so it’s poised to do decently for 1440p gaming.
The new Intel Arc Battlemage GPUs will be available in January 2025. There’s no specific Malaysia pricing and release date times. But the B580 should retail at $249 USD (about RM1,103) while the B570 at $219 USD (about RM970).
